My wife needed a bone marrow biopsy. Her oncologist recommended the Center for Advanced Surgery. On the day of the procedure, I went with her. I was impressed by the communication keeping me informed from the time my wife went in to the time the process was complete. Her nurse was very conscientious about explaining post procedure activities. I am very impressed with this surgical center.
Had my gallbladder removed here by Dr Rula. Cannot say enough about how great this center was. This was my first surgery so I was a little nervous at first, however all of the staff was kind and personable. I felt very safe. All of my questions were answered and my pain was managed well. They don’t offer any payment plan that someone could actually afford on a monthly base. Here, they definitely put their financials before care. They are rude if you owe, and even if I try to make a payment if it’s not the amount they desire they give you the cold treatment. I was already nervous about the procedure and to have to deal with this too, was too much. Be very careful with payment here! They force you to pay a “deposit” which is ridiculously expensive. We hit our deductible and only had to pay facility costs (20%) and the fees were unreasonable. It is a legal loophole to force you to pay before any services are given. They called you and mention the fee beforehand but never tell you they will refuse service. The nurses were amazing, but next time we will be finding a surgery center that does not force you to prepay and “reimburse” you for extra costs.
Gall bladder removal today. Wow - this place is super organized, clean and well-staffed. Amy my pre-op nurse was amazing - I felt confident and comfortable - this team really communicates and cared about every detail of my comfort and safety.
