I would agree with others that this facility is a waste of time if you don’t have the flu. I went in with a GI issue and was advised that blood work should be done but they are not permitted to order or do blood work at the immediate care clinic. Instead, I would have to pay for the visit and then walk over to the ER next door and repeat the entire process where they can perform the required bloodwork. I had a positive experience. On a Sunday morning I took my toddler son. We waited about 5-10 min for registration which was very quick and the front staff was very kind. We waited about 20 min to be seen, not long for an urgent care imo. The nurse did the things and tests and said 40 min for doc. Doctor came in about 20 min. And we got our results and prescription.
Every time we visit this urgent care we wait for hours, even when the waiting room is empty. You need to hire more staff.
I have lifelong chronic illnesses and have been seen by many nurses, nurse practitioners, doctors, and PAs across various state and country lines over my 31 years, and I can say without hyperbole that my experience seeing a nurse practitioner (Sahar K Vardy) at the NWM Huntley Immediate Care today was the worst I have ever had.
