I'm not the type to write reviews, but my experience with this company left me with no choice. It was close to my house and convenience won out, but looking back, I would NOT recommend this company to anyone. The way my cake turned out was disappointing. If I could go back, I would definitely choose another bakery.

Disappointing Experience Unfortunately, my experience did not live up to my expectations. I did not find the bakery to be especially attractive and the taste/texture of the cake was mediocre. To top it off, the customer service was disappointing as my phone call was not returned, leaving me with the responsibility of calling her back. I don't have much sympathy for the owner's lack of commitment, regardless of if she is running the shop alone, when I am spending my hard earned money at her store. Wonderful cakes and service – I don't know what bakery these other ladies have been going to, but it's certainly not the same Celebrate Cakes that I have been shopping at for over 10 years! April and Amanda have made it their policy to do exactly what the customer wants. They go out of their way to meet with clients after hours and take care of them in the most professional way possible. Ask questions first! I love this bakery and they are all very helpful. I noticed the previous review about the owner never being there, and if you actually ask her it's because she runs the business alone. She never leaves the bakery early without forwarding the phones and leaving a note on the door plus she lives very close (less than 1 minute away) and will meet you there anytime. Please...... I know of three other people that give up going because she's not opened when she says she is and you plan your day and make a trip over and she has closed early or not at all and doesn't return calls. We all give up on trying to go there. Was talking about it at the beauty shop Friday and someones client even spoke up. That tells you something, there is a bigger issue going on. Lets not forget that this is not the original owner.
Lacking in atmosphere and taste Overall, the bakery wasn't very impressive- in terms of atmosphere, it seemed rather small and dirty and the cake was acceptable at best.
READ CAREFULLY PLEASE I have been reading all the reviews for Celebrate Cakes and Im not sure you can trust all of them. I have been buying from this location for over eight years and everything has always been as perfect as you can receive. If you ordered cake # 18 with Betty, seems to me someone on the ordering side dropped the ball and didnt give the right name. This bakery has had a A+ rating for over thirty five years, so I am assuming that people can read bewteen the lines and see bad reviews for what they are - people... read more
