I really enjoyed my stay at Sussex House, The Forbury. The location is good, right by Forbury Gardens and the Reading Abbey ruins, perfect for peaceful early morning or evening walks. There’s a lovely café just around the corner for a quick bite, as well as excellent Greek and Korean takeaway options nearby. A small supermarket close by makes it very easy to stock up the fridge and settle in comfortably. I stayed 10 weeks in the Sussex House. What a great location! The Forbury is both nice and humble. History, a mall, drinks, or just good groceries are all just a 2-3 minute stroll. Want a change of scenery? The train station is close with 25 minute trains into Paddington station. My apartment was updated and comfortably spacious. Clean, well-appointed 2-bed (one double, one single) 1st floor flat (with lift), excellent appliances and quality furnishings. Weekly servicing was a real plus. Though it only has one bathroom, it’s well maintained and fully equipped. Great location and responsive property managers who genuinely support your stay. Highly recommended.
The apartment was clean and spacious! It had everything needed for a short term stay of two weeks. My family loved it. The location was excellent too, was close to everything we need around Reading within walking distance. The property managers were also very prompt and helpful with everything required. Will definitely try to stay there again in my next visit.
