DON T DO IT, UNLESS YOU LIKE NATZI TYPE MANAGEMENT
I think before management lets renters move in they should think over their decision carefully. It is unfortunate that they choose to let people move in that they really feel will not be able to complete their lease. This is taking advantage of renters and stealing their money. Most people dont have enough money to invest in moving into an apartment and then have to move out before their lease is up and come up with the start up money again.
I lived at Cedarwood for a little over 4 years. It was an easy place to live and is better than most places in the Valley in their price range. Maintenance is good. The courtyard is nice if you have a unit that faces it. They do a good job of walking the fine line between keeping the community respectful of others without infringing upon anyones freedom. I lived in the Cedarwood Apartments with my Fience for 2 years and it was by far the best apartment facility that I have lived in. Rent was reasonable, the apartments were large with a full balcony, and washer and dryer in each unit. The neighbors are all good people and it is a quiet community. The best part about the experience was getting to know the managment. I lived at Cedarwood for 7 years and loved it until the new managers showed up. I was told to move out in November 2006 without being given a reason; one of my neighbors complained because I did laundry after 10 p.m. and the next thing I new I was being told to get out. Maintenance requests are not addressed (I asked for things repeatedly that never got done) and have to agree with the comments about the rec room, that money could have been put to better use. My wife and I recently moved in at Cedarwood, and its been a good experience so far. The managers bent over backward to speed us through the application process, and were quick to respond to our first maintenance request (a minor problem left behind by the previous tenant). Our new neighbors are friendly, and the rules (the ones I know so far, at least) are reasonable. We have lived in the Cedarwood apartments for two years and cannot wait for the weather to break so that we may move out. They are old, and poorly managed. Not kid friendly what so ever, be careful if you move in with your kids, you will be harrassed mercilessly and they are not allowed outside your apartment. Bank on the fact that your rent will go up 10 to 20 dollars every 6 months. So far the only positive thing I have to say is that I enjoy our neighbors for the most part. As the Manager of Cedarwood Apartments, I must post a comment about the two negative reviews. Both of these prior residents of Cedarwood Apartments, and were subsequently asked to leave our property for violations of their contracts. As the manager, my main duty here is to mediate situations that may make other residents uncomfortable. These two residents made the living enviroment unbarable for others and had to be asked to move.
