I experienced initially very heavy emotional burden and depression. I have been a patient at Centre since 2018. I think the doctors and nurses are great, though they have too many patients and often forget details of your dossier. The administration of the centre is terrible. Lately, It can take up to 2 hours to have your blood tests done and there is not enough seating in the section. The results then take another two hours. If you have to have a CT Scan, the department never calls you, you have to follow up with them. Then it takes 30 days to get your results! It now takes a month to get a... read more
Dr. Faria and all the nurses, radiologists, and everyone involved in the Center are exceptional in every way. When I was diagnosed with prostate cancer and, I was nervous but they were there for me and after seeing their support for the patients I came to realize that I was in the best place that I could be . I am an indigenous man from the mi'gmaq nation and in the summer 3 years ago today I was diagnosed with HPV cancer of the throat!! The technicians, secretary's,volunteers,residents,nurses and of course the 3 main oncologist all made me feel like I was going to beat this thing. I haven't touched a cigarette nor a joint since 1999 but damage was done much in my youth and into my adulthood. I have the highest praise for all the gentlemen and ladies. I was privileged to spend the last 4 hours of a friend's life on the 10th floor of the cancer centre. The compassion of all the staff, especially RN Victoria, was exceptional. Her husband said that everyone had been so kind and helpful throughout. Thank you all for the wonderful work you do. I wish my donation could go straight to making nurses', PABs' and doctors' work easier.
