I am building a booth for Cowboy Christmas in Vegas this year, ordered my cedar from Mat at cedar supply of Sherman, very friendly, great to work with. one of the cedar beams I bought was 8x8x16' this particular beam will be horizontal 12' in the air. I had know idea how heavy it was, bottom line it was not going to work. they have a no return policy however, Mat talked with his boss and we were able to exchange it for a 6x6x16 beam he sent his driver same day we swapped out beams and now I'm good to proceed.
