First time eating there. Portions were perfect. The fish came out hot my baked potato was perfect. Everything tasted very good. If I lived in the area it would be a weekly spot to eat out. Definatly recommended!!
Good old fashioned southern style seafood.
First time and enjoyed everything. Had shrimp and scallops ..Very good. Offers a senior menu at a lower price. Plenty of food.
Every time my husband and I eat there the food is always delicious and consistent!!
The food here is awesome. I usually get the fried shrimp, which I love. I found out they have grouper, but it is not on the menu (you have to ask for it). The grouper is outstanding, grouper, cheese grits, and applesauce. I definitely recommend Cedar River, and I will definitely go back whenever I am in Gainesville.
The food was very good and plentiful.
My husband and I had the platter: clam strips, scallops, shrimp, fries, hush puppies and blackened flounder. Our sides: green beans and cheese grits. My husband had the sweet tea (though of course it's not his homemade) which he said was good. Our server was attentative, courteous and on top of everything. It was my first time eating here and I thought it was fabulous!
