My Wife brought her dog, Lil Miss, for surgery to remove Cancerous Tumors. A 6-inch- long incision for a 6.4 lb Maltese. Surgery went well, but the incompetent/unfeeling vet-tech told my wife no antibiotics, or pain meds were needed. Well, of course, she was in agony when the IV painkiller wore off. Lisa gave her Aspirin until she could get back for pain meds. A few days later, symptoms of infection manifested.
