This place was cute and quaint and a little outdated, the grounds, pool and Jacuzzi were adorable and while a little annoying the train coming through the vally every few hours was super fun. The beds and linens were old and uncomfortable, there was a large mystery stain in the carpet. There was an envelope requesting a tip for the housekeeping staff, we left $9 which is 10%. Later we inspected our receipt and realize that they had already charged us a 10% gratuity.
Great place to stay. Very friendly staff and the room was clean and comfortable.
I love this place! We come up every year and this is the only place we stay. The couple who own it are some of the best folks in Dunsmuir. I'm looking forward to our stay this coming weekend! The location is awesome, freeway is right by but you can't even hear it! It's a beautiful property and it's exactly what I remember growing up in Dunsmuir. One of the very few places in Northern California you can really unplug, go fishing and be "one" with yourself and family.
Room very nice and clean with warm welcomes at the front desk like family. Fresh towels strong Wifi is a plus. Great price feel like home plus powerful vortex with all those trees. I feel blissfully and happy. .
The Outside: It's a motel in the woods. The Inside: Quaint, Bed was comfy.. It was clean, coffee maker, microwave, refrigerator, flat screen TV, heater in both the room and the bathroom. Recommendation - they will need to update their heaters soon, old, work well, but the knob is stripped and hard to turn on. I would stay again. On line $76 King bed.
Nice rooms, nice owners and lots of towels! Really left me with a nice first impression of this little town.
