RecommendedWe have been coming for many years. Great place to stay.
We booked 3 nights but decided to leave 1 day early due to the lake condition with a severe algae bloom. We were charged for 3 nights although we only stayed 2. They said we requested 3 nights and that's what we must pay!!! I have had times where I left someplace early due to weather but were only charged for the actual time we stayed. Poor business practice. They made an extra $111.00 but lost a customer. I will travel back to fish Black Lake again but will never stay at Cedar Grove again.
Tomorrow. Coming there again. Harrah. Bluegill beware.

We love Black Lake as a family vacation place. We found our cabin very comfortable and clean. Everyone we encountered was very friendly. Nice place to bring your family.
Headed up June 17th for our 3rd straight year....This was our vacation place for our family when we were just kids...over 40 years ago....still the same...beautiful place...some of the best fishing in New York state....
For the second year we had a great time! Cottage 1 is very clean, cute, and comfortale with a great view and nice screened in porch. We caught 186 legal crappies plus many small ones and perch, bluegills bowfin, bass, pumpkin seed, bullpout etc.
