For the potential mover to come to here, this is just to inform and warn. The rent is very affordable. And the rooms are large which is great for the price - but cheap for a very good reason. Your neighbors are messy and when they're throwing out garbage, they leave very wet trails of trash juice along the hallways nightly. I have been visiting the community for maybe about two months now. My boyfriend lives in the complex. So far I've seen roaches and the nights myself and my children have stayed, we've heard rats scurrying around in the walls. That's terrifying to even hear. Do not live here. Duck Poop in all walkways, huge roaches in apartments, they are outside on building walls and inside and outside of garbage chutes and dumpsters. Maintenance people are rude, and service is crap. Paper thin walls, you can hear footsteps above you, toilets flushing, people talking in halls. Expensive for the quality and service, not wort it. How much is the rent? Would like to know so that I will know if I can afford it! Trying to find a reasonable priced 2 bedroom apartment to rent. Furnished but if not that's fine and a place where you don't have to be 21 to rent it.
You definitely do not want to drink the water here. I had to clean the shower at least once a week or deal with the nasty brown coating that the water leaves behind. The shelving looks like someone cut up some particle board out back by the bayou and slapped them in. The counter tops are from the 70's. I uploaded pictures on google maps on the van mark location. The year that I have spent at these apartments have been very disappointing. The office staff is very rude including a young lady called Jay and also an older lady called Karen. Carmen the office manager is very rude as well and avoids the tenants at all cost it takes over 2 weeks or longer to have any maintenance issues fixed and unless it is an emergency to them you have to keep calling to remind them I had a safety issue and it took almost 2 months for them to fix and that is only after I called the property management co... read more
Renter beware! Payed my bills on time. Gave notice before moving. Cleaned apartment top-to-bottom before leaving. Was charged for bogus "damage" to apartment after I left. Was never notified about charge via call, email, or letter. Sent charge to collection company. Now my credit score is messed up. Learned later that this has happened to SEVERAL tenants that have moved out.
Awful! I was a great tenant, always paid rent on time and kept place clean. When I moved in, they left an old refrigerator on my front porch for two weeks. I had to call twice to have it removed. I gave more than a 30 day notice when my lease was up, and I got a bill from a collection agency for over $600 when I left claiming bogus damage and cleaning. Luckily I found out about the bill before they had a chance to report it to the credit agencies. Other tenants have not been as lucky. A couple of prior tenants have lawsuits ... read more
When we first moved here it was outstanding the apartment manager Carrie was awesome although the apartments are not worth the amount they charge. We have lived here for over a year with no complaints on us and rent paid on time everything. A new apartment manager took over and she is AWFUL. None of the tenants like her but my main problem is we went on vacation and while out of town the manager went into my apartment without reason and informing me after the fact she smelled my cats litter box which I imagine you would afte... read more
