In 2023 this place saved my life. I believe the psychiatrist gets a kickback from meds they put people on, which during my time was Latuda. Unfortunately, I had an extreme reaction known as EPS to my latuda a few days after leaving this hospital. That is not their fault, though. The best thing for me here were the group activities because I realized I am not alone and realized how meaningful connections with others and life is. They dont do full mental health evaluations. I was there and never received a full evaluation. Now im left with a diagnosis with no idea how it was concluded. Or how they could draw a conclusion without out a proper evaluation. Im left now to seek a second opinion and further evaluation. I will say the nurses and and the staff that are at the desks and run the groups are very nice and compassionate. The groups are helpful.
Absolutely unbelievable the standard of care for this place. My wife was transferred here and she has only progressively gotten worse. They had her sign paperwork at 3:00 in the morning and didn’t explain but rather rushed her through it. She wasn’t allowed to read or ask questions and instead was threatened. She filled out an ROI on FOUR separate occasions for me to be able to check in on her care. Instead we got nothing but the run around. Promises to call back and then radio silence. Excuses. Nice facility and friendly staff.
I was there a few months ago I was there for overdose and self harm.I am 17 and it was OK some of the staff was nice bur then the other ones was trash didn't show that they cared about me at all but is better than most other hospitals I've been to
