Our family had to recently put our childhood dog down of 17 years and everyone there was so empathetic. In a really tough situation like that it helped to be around people who were understanding, caring, & kind. They were very understanding of our situation and let us take the time we needed during every step. They were also very gentle & caring with our dog. Switched vets in the midst of a 3 month long issue with our dog... Came to Cedar Animal Hospital trying to find someone who cared for our pets like Dr.Lepley did when he was around. We ended up getting a diagnosis from Dr.Nauta that we never got at the other vet. We ended up still having to put our precious dog down, but at least we knew that we had done nearly all we could for him. It was a long, emotional road for us, but in the end, I am so glad we found Cedar Animal Hospital and Dr.Nauta. Thank you <3
We've taken our pets to Cedar Animal Hospital since we moved here 6 years ago. They are compassionate and show great care. CAH is always responsive in emergencies, and we've had a few!

Gave wrong shots to our cat.. Gave our cat shots for an outdoor cat even after the doc asked us three times if she will ever be an outside cat.. Had to go back and get right shots.
When I took my dog in for her yearly exam, Dr. Nauta prescribed a medicine for my dog to treat the stiffness that she has had since she was a puppy. He told me it was safe, so he didn't give me a list of side-effects. My otherwise perfectly healthy dog suddenly started falling over and couldn't walk, nor could she control her bowels. I shared my concerns about the medicine with Dr. Nauta, and he said the medicine was safe, that something else was causing the problems. In the ...Continue Reading
