It all started on December 2, 2015 when I ordered a new tail piece, under warranty, for our son's violin. We have been waiting for the correct replacement part for our son's violin for over a month now. (we received one but it was not the right part) We have been given 3 bogus tracking numbers because when entered on the USPS website ti shows that the package it still at the California post office. I received a new Cecilio CECO-2DW Full Size 4/4 Ebony Electric Silent Cello last week and had a professional music tech place the bridge and tune it. The gut snapped and luckily didn't hurt the tech or damage anything else. The lower quality plastic core of the gut was flawed and caused it to break. It cost me a little extra to replace, but after getting it home and practicing on it, I can say I'm happy with the sound even with the lower-end strings. I bought a left handed electric violin, want to start a symphonic metal band!
Cecilio instruments are an atrocity to music educators. The quality of the instruments is so low that the functionality of the instrument is almost null. Cecilia should be ashamed of themselves selling colorful instruments in mass to children that are so difficult to play that it turns them off of music.
