RecommendedAttended an event with co-workers and got to see all the amenities the hotel has to offer right across from NJPAC and close to all major transportation .
I was not given the room I paid for, room was too hot (yes! I turn the heater off), water from sink and shower was brown and there was a cockroach in the room. Ballroom was beautiful though.
shuttle driver was great- very informative and friendly. front desk staff very nice. but room was like a furnace even with unit off. gave us fans but they need to update their infrastructure. ice machine did not work on 10, no machine on 11, found one to work on 12.
I did have some things I liked very much in this hotel- the shuttle drivers. Although the rooms were small, they were cozy. It was clean. The rooms were very hot though! I had to have my thermostat off and the window cracked in December just to be comfortable. The breakfast was not very good- most of the things were broken. My absolute least favorite thing was the staff- especially the front desk staff. They were rude and not helpful at all. I am not new to Berger Properties, I as usually was satisfied , further more exceptionally not only satisfied but very much appreciative to Miles Burger and his commitment and contributions to Newark and the his commitment doing their part to help take Newark into the future.
