I have taken my son with autism to several therapists and psychologists through the years. Dr. Pickering is the first psychologist that I felt was both genuine and that actually could get my son to interact. She took the time to go over things with us, the parents, but also was able to connect with my son to develop a trusting relationship. Nicole pickering gave me the creeps. She was extremely unprofessional and scared my child. I would definitely not recommend her to ANYONE!!
I was looking for help for my child, who has been struggling with depression. Dr. Nicole Pickering seems nice. However, she charges $180 per session when most people in the field are charging $125-$150. To meet her for the first appointment, she charges $250, and this is without even meeting the child to see if they are a good fit. On top of these high rates, she does not accept insurance, not even premium PPO insurance from major carriers, because she says it's hard to get paid by them.
