For years, our visits to Evansville included a memorable meal at Cavanaugh’s. The lobster bisque was the best! No one matched it. Over time, unfortunately, the bisque lost its favor with us. Tonight, it was a major disappointment. My wife and I shared the 18oz ribeye. It wasn’t fit to eat. It was not the chef’s fault. The cut was ridiculous. It was tough and difficult to cut. Filet is good. Sides are à la cart and shareable. Augratin potatoes were good. Lobster Mac N Cheese was not; it just seemed like plain pasta noodles with topping. Even after mixing it I was left disappointed. I really wanted to love it. Lobster Bisque and French Onion Soup were good. Wedge salad was huge. Bread was really good.
