My family went to Cava on Monday May 19th and my daughter and I became very ill. My husband and I were splitting a bowl and my daughter got a pita. My husband ate a little and but my daughter ate her whole pita and I ate about 25% of the bowl. Late that night both her and I became extremely sick. I had chills, diarrhea, sweating, vomiting. My daughter laid in the bed all day on Tuesday experiencing the same symptoms. I am not sure how sanitary this place is but I urge you all to be careful.
I was shocked at how dirty this restaurant was. I love Cava but this one in particular is so gross. The floors are sticky, the counter was gross, it made me nervous to eat the food if they can't take care of cleaning the parts you can see. Will not be going back here. Service was also subpar at best.
Arrived to the restaurant being closed in the afternoon and reopening at 5:30. There was chaos - employees acted stressed, food buffet was missing many items, and then when we went to eat our food I nearly broke a tooth on the raw lentils! Terrible experience! Do better!
I placed an online order but the food wasn't ready by the time my husband got there and he waited in line anyway. Also, $4 for that tiny bit of feta cheese blend is outrageous!
