I love Cattlemen’s! Ever time I travel to Fort Worth from Amarillo, I have to eat at Cattlemen’s!
I ordered a t bone, i did not get what I ordered plus it was a poor quality of meat, very tough. They did not make it right, I ask for manager who never showed up. Our waitress ignored us. Poor food lousy service and over priced. Went home hungry. Never ever again
This was a nice restaurant, the waiter was good, the food was good, however at the end of the night there was a problem with the billing for someone in our party. After that was fixed they came to me and told me they over charged me, my bill was 52.65 at that point. They take my card, come back with a receipt for me to sign with no explanation of charges for 57.95. When I went to ask the manager "Wes," he got an attitude with me and told me he was not going to give me an explanation. I had no problem with the charges, I just... read more
This was THE Steakhouse to go to, along with it's other place, The Farmer's Daughter, near TCU in the 60's. That was then, and it is not the same now. It's mediocre, and with different owners and managers. Service is slow, and steaks just passable, not melt in your mouth. We were placed next to the entrance to the kitchen, which was noisy, and we asked to be moved in a nearly empty room, and they did. We used to go to Farmers Daughter, and that was melt-in-your mouth good! Too bad it is now gone!
True Texas steak experience – Okay, it's down the street from the STOCKYARDS. How much more authenticity do you need? (Granted, they don't butcher the cows there, but...) Cattlemen's is a tremendous treat. The atmosphere is great, the service is attentive and the food quality is pure Texas good. Great steaks. Each dining room has its own grill and grill master who does your steak just the way you want it. Decent prices and they do fill you up.
The service was exceptional, the steak was melt-in-your-mouth, a little pricey, but not for a special occassion. The add-on shrimp grilled or fried was not very good, I don't recommend it, if you want seafood, go to a seafood restaurant. The salad, steak, and baked potato were the absolute BEST!!!!
Its the place to go in the stockyards of ft worth.....if your a steak lover you will love this place
