Dr. Shir and I have not had a chance to work together yet, but my experience consulting with her about getting therapy in the future was so grounding and noteworthy that I had to leave a review. In our initial conversation Dr. Shir had an uncanny way of showing that she cared deeply about my complaints and what I was working through. She is thorough, kind, tranquil, and well suited for this path. If and when we get the opportunity to work together in the future, I know I will be in capable and supportive hands.
Dr. Shir is such an understanding, intelligent, kind and caring doctor I have ever seen. She is compassionate and clearly knowledgeable. She was open, honest about discussing any questions and concerns I had and no question was left unanswered. She works with me to develop an approach that is workable and never minimize my concerns. She is kind and respectful and I would highly recommend her to anyone.
I highly respect Dr. Shir as a person and a psychiatrist, and would not hesitate to refer anyone to her, including my friends and family. Not only is she an accomplished practitioner of psychopharmacology and psychotherapy, but she cares deeply about helping her patients achieve psychological health in a warm, compassionate, professional manner.
Dr. Shir is a wonderful, compassionate human being and psychiatrist. She'll take the time to listen to you and ask thoughtful questions. She really shows that she cares and always has helpful recommendations.
Dr. Shir is an excellent provider!! It can be difficult finding someone who listens actively and with such a big open heart - but here with Dr. Shir I am comfortable knowing she has my best interest in mind. Her honesty and flexibility and kindness are just a few key highlights of what makes her such a wonderful and caring doctor!!
