Dr. Zelner is GREAT - She is caring, knowledgeable and she listens to you. I have been going to her for years for my thyroid and for nutritional advice. Yes sometimes you may have to wait but I couldn't mark her down on that - You are waiting because she spends time with her patients.
Dr. Zelner did a surgery to stop or almost stop my menopausal menstruation. This surgery did not stop the problem, and absolutely no follow up after. Had she listened to family history, perhaps she would have discovered the problem. Paid $20,000 to have a surgery that did not solve my problem.
I've been a patient for over six years and found her to be a very knowledgeable physician. When I had a problem that she couldn't figure out, she took the time to research it and then talked to me about what she learned. Unlike many doctors, Dr. Zelner takes the time to listen and talk to her patients. She certainly cares about people.
I was happy with Dr. Zelner when I first began seeing her because she is very friendly and willing to answer questions. However, when I began to have fertility problems, she often brushed off my concerns and when she eventually did some testing, ended up missing a very obvious diagnosis. I was later diagnosed and treated by a specialist that diagnosed me within minutes of meeting him with the exact same test results Dr. Zelner had used. I saw Dr. Zelner for the first time this year to get my annual. She was very pleasant and the pap smear was easy. Some doctors are rough, but I didn't feel a thing. Dr. Zelner seems down to earth and I get the impression she wants to help her patients with any issues they are having by offering simple solutions as opposed to doctors who don't take the time to listen to your problems and/or offer drastic solutions such as surgery, etc. This is why I feel I can trust Dr. Zelner more than other doctors I have been to.
