Visited during lunch on a Wednesday with a party of three. Our server, Riley, was super attentive and friendly. As always, the hush puppies and tarter sauce were on point. I ordered the Lite Catfish plate with fries and pinto beans. The catfish was crisp. The fries are coated, and while they were nicely cooked, I am not a fan, personally. The pinto beans were good. Not really as good as I remembered. Staff was not familiar with the menu and barely got my simple order correct (the daily special)
Great catfish🤘
As a native Austinite, born and raised here, this place has consistently had amazing food. Everything feels as if it was home cooked and the atmosphere reminds me of when I was young. Thank you for the amazing food.
We needed to kill some time before heading to the airport so we decided to give this place a try and we were pleasantly surprised. I wanted to try their crawfish etouffee, but they were out so we ended up sharing a catfish plate. The catfish was good, but could've use a tad bit more salt.
