Dr. Sanchez is kind, caring, and knowledgeable. She took time to really listen to me. She very willingly answered my many questions about my health, my medications, and my treatment options in a very thorough, scientific manner. She was never condescending. I am so thankful she is my doctor and I feel much more hopeful about my medical care and treatment plans.

Dismissive and condescending when assessing me as a new RA patient. Does not believe anti inflammatory nutrition is legitimate, and didn’t want to discuss ideas — despite guidelines we shared with her from the national arthritis foundation and peer reviewed research published in medical journals. Did not share any constructive advice on prevention of progression, nothing encouraging, just to come back when you need meds. Very disappointing. Dr Catalina Sanchez-Alvarez was referred to me by my hand surgeon due to arthritis found during an operation.. Dr Sanchez-Alvarez is thorough and understanding.. She always makes time for you in her schedule, she even takes longer with your visits than scheduled. If you have one question or one million questions she takes the time and effort to make you feel secure before leaving her office about your illness..
