Need a smog test? BE AWARE AND BEWARE: Definitely do NOT go here for your smog check unless you do not mind being WAY OVERCHARGED. I used to patronize this business for years and was always charged about $70 each visit. This week I went and was told prices had skyrocketed because of inflation and covid. I believed the person who performed the test and paid the $138 charged for it. To my chagrin, I just saw a sign at the ARCO station at Divisadero and Fell offering smog tests for under $50!!!
I'm never getting my car smog tested here again, they are gauging people. I paid $98 and thought it was very high. I asked the friendly guy there and he said it was the new norm. I googled it and today's price range is between $30-70, he said it was outdated by Google. After I passed the test I called Chevron across the street and was quoted $59.95.
