My Friend and I had a wonderful visit at Castillo Winery. What a beautiful hidden gem.
-we love that this cool place is located literally down the mountain from our back yard; what a gem! -hubby came and will keep coming for his favorite petite syrahs. -I will come to revel to Vivienne's amazing angelic voice. ...and delight in watching her dog Red romp and play in the vineyards.
Perfect place to sip, chat and relax at a beautiful location. Jessie the owner was very nice. He took time to talk with our group about his wines and the process that goes into each varietal. We had packed a picnic lunch and sat out on a little table under a big tree overlooking the very well appointed grounds. Made for a lovely afternoon!
Full wine flight ranges from ok to very good, with the Petite Sirah and Sangiovese being 5 stars wines!! The tasting room is a little small, but the grounds are fantastics. The family is very musically talented as well. Atmosphere is truly wonderful. I could see outdoor tasting bar, helping on very busy days. Highly recommend as a top 3 winery to visit in Santa Clara County
