Absolutely perfect place to stay for me and my family. We stayed in one of the cottages on the Gulf of Mexico side � We loved everything from the steps to the beach.... to the Nice fully furnished kitchen. HIGHLY recommend and will definitely be back!
One of the few places on Sanibel/Captiva where the beach is literally right outside your front door. Cottages are great with fridge, microwave and stove. Unit 2 has a clear view of the sunset.
Clean, adorable and cozy!!! Couldn't ask for anything more! Love it here and can't wait to come back!! So much character!
The photos are great, the real deal is no way as perceived. spent three days in unit 38 saw no clean towels the entire visit, night stands falling apart from wet floors, only 3 out of 5 lights working in the bathroom, bed gave me back spasms for the day following sleeping in the bed.
We stay for Thanksgiving yearly with lots of family and love it!!! We have stayed at the beach cottage and this year above the marina. We are already booked for next year, along with our family and friends!!!! Thanks for making this a great tradition for us. 💚
Love, love, love Castaways!!! Older cottages poolside....be prepared, it is not the Hilton....or any other fancy schmancy "luxury resort"...it's about the beach! It's about being on Sanibel....at Blind Pass...shells, wildlife, sunsets! We're staying for 8 weeks in 2018....our third year at Castaways, and we'll keep coming back as long as we can put our luggage in the car and get there!
My two little dogs and I stayed in Cottage 8 looking directly at the Gulf and the sunset. It is a very cute cottage with a nice screened front porch. Loved it
