I purchased a 6 foot retractable screen for a newly installed French door in our sunroom. A swing door would have been impractical, and the reviews for them were awful. Ordered directly from Casper, product arrived on time in perfect condition. Very easy to install, plenty of video help out there but not needed. Update: less than a year in, these expensive screens are ready for the trash. So disappointed. These screens are absolute junk! Screen doesn’t stay in track, and the screen has ripped because of all the times it has come out and slammed back crooked. Plastic parts are junk and either break or fall apart. Support stops responding after the first contact, if at all. Look elsewhere for retractable screens! Door as received seemed less robust than previous experience with another brand. Within first month the handle started falling off and the corner of the screen started pulling away from the leading edge. Contacted Casper who said handle was a known issue and they would send me new ones. They never addressed the issue of the screen and I never received new handles after repeated attempts to contact without response.
I was a little hesitant to spend the money on this screen because it’s more than I would pay at a big box store. However, now that I have the screen installed I would pay twice as much. It has dramatically improved the air flow in our home and works like a charm. Customer service was great and the company sent us a new handle immediately when we realized ours was defective. Perfect solution for an outswinging door.
Great product and installation. I would use again and highly recommended.
