Expensive but good, waiter gave us attitude for wanting to itemize the check between 5 people. I’ve been a server, it is not that hard.
It was just alright. Feels like more style and less substance. Interior is flashy and they have a flashy location. There was hardly anyone there when I ate. I sat at the bar. Bartender was friendly, but wasn't too engaged. I felt a little rushed. Margaritas are good, but it looked like the core ingredients were mixed ahead of time. I noticed lots of half-filled glasses with all ready made margarita mixers. For food, I had the mole enchiladas. Again, they were good. Just not the best I've had.
This restaurant serves a variety of dishes to choose from - tacos, burritos and even chilaquiles. It is not the most authentically flavorful joint but the dishes are filling. It is a spacious joint, offering indoor and outdoor seating and located in a SLU corner with a lot of foot traffic. It wouldn’t be the first Mexican restaurant I’d recommend but may be worth trying out.
