Great park in the heart of downtown Tallahassee. Perfect for walking or laying out for a picnic or a good book.
I've been to the park a few times to perform on the stage. Just two days ago, my school brought out our steel drum band and we played for an hour and a half. The sound is perfect and the lights add stunning colors to the show. Out in the audience, everything sounds clear and you can hear everything very well. It's a nice place to go for a show in the evening. The park is beautiful as well. It's a great spot to get some exercise because of all the hills and the scenery really makes the park one of the best places in the city.
I love this place especially the interactive fountain. But this is the 2nd time I've gone to the light show on a Friday night and the employees just turn off the show when kids run in. I get it, the pressure is much harder but rather than tell the kids to get out or make an announcement they just said "technical difficulties" and waiting for that family to walk away and then started the water show again. Really enjoy Cascades park. Just wish I could have it more to myself...lol
Very pretty place! They have done a great job with the design and the old power plant that is a restaurant is quaint and unique. Great place for a family?
