Dr. Apau permanently closed his office with no notice, my heart goes out to him for whatever tragic reason that caused this to happen. You are in our thoughts and prayers. We will definitely miss you and appreciate all of your years of compassion for your patients, you were more then a doctor, you were our friend. Hugs to you!!

Dr. Apau closed his office as of today (March 31) with no notice, no advisory regarding a transfer of medical records to another doctor, no advisory regarding how to get records. Nothing. If there was an emergency (stroke, heart attack) I am sorry! Nut his answering service said he was retiring and if you need to find a doctor, contact your insurance. I have asked the Oregon Medical Board if this is the usual protocol...they were stunned and said NO! (He was a good doctor for mom so he gets 3 stars...or I'd leave 1 star.)
I was referred to Dr. Apau after an ER visit. I took me a whole week to get a return phone call from the receptionist. Once I received that phone call she told me they weren't excepting anymore patients. Not only was she extremely rude but she never took the time to explain anything. I mean do I work in your office and know what is going on??? Just because you called in and your now in over load mode does not give you the right to have an attitude with everyone else.
