Excellent Location! Rooms each have a theme and are pretty nice. Excellent location and good service. Some rooms have better views of the ocean and pier - be sure to ask.

they took care of our friends for us We had friends in earlier this year who were looking for suggestions on where to stay. After scouting out several of the local hotels, I chose the Casa Tropicana Beachfront Inn. I thought this was a better choice because it was located on the beach, it's not as crowded as the other larger hotels and they gave me a great price. I liked the amenities they had and in the end, I chose well. Our friends loved it and will be staying there when they return next year. I personally thanked the man... read more

We booked the suite at $800.00 some odd dollars a night expecting something wonderful. The view was beautiful but we had a series of negative events that make me never want to return. First off there is no elevator and I'm hsndicaped. No one said that there wasn't an elevator so I had to walk two fights of stairs if I came in the back way and four flights if I approach by the front entrance. Next the room has no air conditioning. cool place great location – We stayed at the Casa Tropicana in the first week of April. San Clemente is a cute littel town and the hotel is right across from all of the action at the pier. We went to the beach (they had chairs and umbrellas and towels for us) and had dinner on the pier. Now to the room. Our room was not an ocean view room but the deck is an ocean view deck. Good quality for the price The nicest hotel in San Clemente. This is a very unique place that serves you breakfast outside on a deck and has beautifully decorated rooms. The staff was helpful and friendly and the beach is across the street.
