My first visit was very disappointing. I ordered garlic shrimp. Shrimp were sparse and small probably Asian grown. They were swimming in a deep tasteless pool of oil and hot chili flakes with no detectably garlic flavor. Rice and beans were ok.
The salsa was nice and spicey. The service was attentive. . I had a combo plate tamale and cheese enchilada along with abondigas soup to start with the soup was full of meatballs and veges. The food was flavorful and fresh tasting.
