About this business

Casa Lever, located in the iconic Lever building in Midtown, is probably known as much for its address as its menu; it's a great spot for celeb watching. Sophisticated and tasteful, it sports an ultramodern feel which can be attributed to its almost minimalistic décor that in fact features several large, colorful Andy Warhol works of several modern-day celebrities. The restaurant is also equipped with a large bar area and offers a menu of innovative Italian fare as well as a raw bar. Notable items on Casa Lever's menu... read more

Do not go to this place! – The bartenders are so rude!!! I can not believe how we were treated this evening. So we (my girlfriend and I) sat at the bar and had a couple drinks each. I then decided I was hungry and ordered the sliders. The bartender took the order and asked my friend if she wanted an order too. She said no that I was just ordering. They then proceeded to bring us 2 orders. When we explained there was a mistake, the bartender and the manager made us feel like we were criminals. It was so ridiculous. My friend ... read more

Citysearch Editorial Review – The decor of this plush Park Avenue restaurant nods toward the swinging '60s, with blond wood-paneled walls, geometric architecture and colorful Warhol prints. The menu, however, is decidedly of the moment, featuring a selection of elegantly presented dishes like capesante (seared scallops with white asparagus puree) and perfectly prepared pasta, like pappardelle with wild boar ragout. And while the people-watching is second to none, it’s difficult to gossip when tables are placed so close toget... read more

Food Uninspired and the Service was HORRIBLE! – I can't believe that I and two other friends just spent $400+ for dinner and drinks at the Lever House because it was far from worth it. I had the sea bass, which was so bad I choose not to eat it. When the wait staff picked up my plate they never asked, "was everything okay?" even though it was clear that I barely touched my dinner. The dining room was more than 50 percent empty, which meant that our waiter was far from busy, but he was still MIA for a good portion of the even... read more

NEVER AGAIN, HORRIBLE – I went for Thanksgiving Dinner with a friend and it was HORRIBLE. The service or shall I say what service. Even though the meal was prix fix, the waitress suggetsed that we share a side dish even though it was included in the meal, what is that all about? Then she suggested that we order our desert when we ordered our meal, there was no desert that would take that long to prepare. Makes you feel as though they want to get you in and out as fast as possible. Once our waitress took our order we never sa... read more

Cutting-edge decor and New American fare deserving of all the hype, in midtown's modern landmark. – A long, white tunnel transports A-listers and well-heeled wait-listers to midtown's highly buzzed-about scene. With honeycomb-patterned walls, cavernous booths and a white-glass bar, design-guru Marc Newsom evokes futurism and nostalgia all at once. The focal point is an elevated, trapezoidal cutout behind which not-so-private parties unfold. As far as the food, Bradford Thompson, in taking over from Dan Silverman, has given L... read more

great bar! – i wandered in last saturday evening at dinner hour with a friend, still dressed for lunch & shopping (shopping bags included), we really just wanted to get a quick look at the room, i'm a fan of marc newsom's work. instead, we were shown right in, seated in the bar, snacking away and sampling house cocktails. The host and the bartender/mixologist treated us as if we were regulars, we went in expecting a peek and a business card, not to be there an hour later warm, cozy & martini'd up in Barbarella's spaceship.. ... read more

Excellent but a bit pricey – Great food and I love the ambiance but the prices were off the charts, Park Avenue or not!! I love the bar and the drinks there. Great bar staff too.

Disappointing, is this Micheline establishment going downhill? – A few months ago, I had a good dinner at Lever House. The place was busy and vibrant, the stuff friendly and the ambience charming. I went back last week, to find the place half empty (on a Friday night) and the service very disappointing. The menu was featuring fresh pasta with freshly shaved truffle. Its a simple and glorious dish, religiously executed in italy and celebrated by chef such Gualtiero Marchesi. Unfortunatly, the pasta was not al dante, lacking s... read more

A possible contender in crowded NYC – We had wanted to go here awhile & tonight seemed to be as good as any. We arrived & my wife was impressed by the decor-kind of reminded me of some old-fashioned post-modern situation, if that makes sense. We were given a nice booth in the back w/ a view of the entire place. After much debate, due to many delicious sounding choices on the menu (I wanted to try the veal) we went w/ the autumn tasting menu w/ wine pairings. I was hesitant about the TM because it seemed pricy & not enough of... read more
