Went there a couple years ago was there for about 4 months they made me believe they were there to help but it was the opposite all they listened to is what my parents had to say and they always made it seem like nothing I say matters and parents know best and I don't know anything. I was I think 14-15 when I was there. I’m 18 now and just graduated high school yesterday. I can honestly say I would not have graduated if I hadn’t gone to casa. At the time I did not like it. It honestly sucked being so isolated from everyone and being in a new environment. That being said, the staff were some of the kindness most helpful people I’ve met in my life (which stands to this day). I went to casa house a d it's the best help I've ever received for my mental health. I will always be so grateful foe my experience. 3 meals a day 2 snack, your own room, school, music, gym and so many more interactive /therapy things
A family member went here a couple of years ago and it was life-changing for them. It is a difficult program that requires some sacrifice, but they say it was completely worth it for the . Keep in mind that they went through some changes around 2016 and changed their modality to be much more trauma informed, so reviews of experiences before that are not necessarily reflective of how it is now.
Personal experience: being locked in a small cement room for several days with no mattress. Being denied access to the washroom, having food limited to the point of barely eating and loosing more weight. This program was meant to help me deal with the trauma that home and my father were causing me, rather I’m still struggling today to heal from the abuse I faced in this facility.
