I lived in a studio apartment for over 4 years, and loved every day of it! There was more than enough room with indoor and outdoor space, including a garden. Yes, there is train noise, but every city along coastal North County deals with it, and it's honestly not bad. It's only two blocks to the beach, about ten blocks to Carlsbad's downtown village, and just a couple minutes to I-5. I lived there years ago (2004), but it was a good experience, clean open and functional layout inside the apartment. Yes, you are by the railroad, but I hardy noticed! Landlord at the time was very nice and I loved how close I was to the beach, Carlsbad is also a good community to live in, I would recommend this complex for quality.
