I pre ordered a vehicle for $100 in late July 2025. Still no information or pictures of vehicle as of today, August 22,2025. Carmax did the same dance. Neither seem to be very trustworthy in my opinion. Carmax at least showed me the vehicle; however, my simple request to have the fuel door spring work properly fell on deaf ears. Find a local dealership and work with them, they'll help you; Carvana and carmax won't.
Overall the staff was nice, thats about where it ended, you can tell they were no experienced in sales but less the process of picking up the car or any information about the car. Also, be warned anything bigger then a car does not fit in the vending machine so we could not get the full experience as we expected. Be sure to inspect your vehicles completely and ensure whatever is on your paperwork is in the car and its accurate.
It was very easy and straight forwad for me to sell my car.
Everything went very smoothly in terms of the purchase. We were a little disappointed though that the exterior of the car was pretty dirty when we picked it up. There were handprints all over the car. The interior also had a bit of a musty smell.
