Tried this place for the first time hoping for a home cooked type meal. Eggs were spongy (fake) and grits watery. Never got a refill on coffee, never asked. Won’t go here ever again.

Chicken fried steak tasted like it was fried twice, the meat loaf was two slices of meat with no flavor and the cream corn was watery.

We are pleased to agree with the great reviews Cartwright’s received. Our first time, the food was good, service outstanding. Given the opportunity, we will go again. We were traveling through Denton about lunch time and found Cartwright’s on google. Great decision.
