Carter's Transmissions and Automotive is without a doubt one of the most trustworthy and reliable auto repair shops I have ever been to. The team is highly skilled, honest and transparent about every aspect of the repair process. I was quoted $8000 from Austin GMC dealership for repairs including additional for attempted upselling and repairs I didn’t actually need: Carters was honest and fair pricing. They communicated through the entire process and checked with me and share pricing before moving forward. Ended up being ~ $3500 which was way more reasonable for the type of repair.
I've been going to Carter's for about 35 years and I have never even considered going elsewhere! He does my maintenance every 3k miles and always checks for recalls. He will promptly repair them and he and his staffs' service is impeccable. He also services imports! You won't regret it; I haven't for 35 years or so!!!
Worked on my truck's transmission quickly and kept me well informed throughout the entire process. They made sure I understood the procedure, clarified anything I was confused about and was willing to teach me things I didn't understand. And at the end of the day, it was a very fair price. Would highly recommend this shop and plan on bringing my truck here again for any future issues.
The prices are super fair! I went in with a transmission problem and he gave me a quote and stuck to it! No hidden fees or anything.
