Carter built a 7' privacy fence around our backyard. Did an ok job -- overall reasonably pleased but there was evidence of some shoddy workmanship (nails missing their mark, so boards not secured properly, latch on door misaligned). Got very much of a "eh, good enough" vibe after the project was complete. My main issue was their 1-year "warranty" where they pledge to fix any loose or warped boards or any structural issues with your fence within 12 months -- free of charge. BEWARE of Carter Fence. This is the WORST contracting company of about 30 I have worked with in the last few years. In particular, Stuart Carter, who has been IMO very dishonest, price-changing, non-responsive, and messy and incorrect with details (see below). The owner (brother) supports whatever he has to say, so there is no fighting with management. Great service, beautiful fence, on time and expected cost.
Disappointing
Carter Fence is very simply amazing. The value beat every other estimate, and the professionalism went way above expectation. I felt like Josh understood my requirements, set my expectations perfectly, and was involved through the installation. The fence installers were great. They had a VERY hard install though my woods, over creeks, and through huge stumps. They knocked it out with ease!!! I highly highly recommend.
