I have been donating at the Denton location for several years now, and although I’ve seen plenty of turnover in the years I’ve been coming here, my experiences with the staff have been consistently good. They are always professional and friendly, with good beside manner. They do an excellent job of making sure you are comfortable and properly taken care of before, during, and after the donation process. I’m a frequent blood donor, usually every 4 months. We recently moved from Trophy Club, TX to Northlake. Because of that, I wanted to find a new Donor Center closer to home. I used to go to the Keller location, I chose the Denton location this time. My first time donating at Carter BloodCare at the Denton Donor Center was an absolutely fantastic experience! I have been donating whole blood or platelets for 30+ years. In many different locations. Every location has done an excellent job. Currently, and for the last 4 years it is the Denton 288 location. They are exceptional! Attentive, considerate, and professional. Morgan, Kate, and Yahira acknowledge all "the regulars". It makes a difference to know WE are appreciated and remembered.
Giving blood should be a positive experience—one that leaves you feeling good about helping others. Unfortunately, our experience at this location was the complete opposite. Our technician, Kate, had an unprofessional attitude from the moment she walked into the room, and it never improved. When I asked for the manager, I was told by another employee that Kate was the manager.
