I started drinking coffee 10 years ago after visiting a coffee farm in Costa Rica, and since then, I’ve learned there’s a lot of bad coffee places out there. Cartel Roasting is not one of them! Their vanilla latte was fantastic—everything was perfectly balanced to enhance the coffee’s natural flavor rather than cover it up with sugar and syrup. It was so good that I even went back to let them know how much I appreciated their roast. If you’re staying in downtown Phoenix, give Cartel Roasting a try. You won’t regret it.
Seriously - does ANYBODY care about good customer service anymore? I ordered a latte with almond milk and the girl told me in a very cold manner that ‘we don’t have almond milk’ but she did not offer any alternatives. I asked for a sprinkle of cinnamon and was rudely informed ‘we don’t have cinnamon’. Again, no apologies, no suggestions - it seemed like she was hating life. But wait!! It was my first time at this coffee shop. The barista was nice, but the coffee was VERY ordinary and boring. Also pricey in comparison to the size of their cups! I have heard so much about this place, and I wanted to try it, but it's not worth the hype! I don't think I'm going back again.
