I live in a 10 story building with several elderly people (a couple in wheelchairs) Carson has our service contract. Several times the elevator has gone out due to the power being out or a false fire alarm in a weekend. We call their emergency service number (which is just an answering service) and get no calls back. And the people on higher floors who some of whom cannot manage stairs are left with those as the only option.
We called Carson out since they service our elevator and had recently made a major expensive replacement of the motor. They were fast in coming out but the tech after a few hours told me he could not fix the elevator and left. We never heard from Carson. I called a couple time only to be told that they cannot fix the elevator and to call someone else. We called Kone and a young guy came and fixed it within 15 mins stating it was a really easy fix. The experience with Carson was bizarre and unprofessional.
Best of the little guys. Local. Independent. Busy but responsive. Contract customers are priority. But they help everyone.
