RecommendedI would like to write a review about a very kind and helpful lady in the activities department @ CLV. Her name is Christine Konecni. She is the person who coordinates the window visits for all the residents. My family and I love visiting our Mom, Nancy and it is very important for all of us to be able to see each other. Important to Mom to see her family and friends and just as important to us. We miss her terribly but know she is in good hands at CLV. I’m a travel nurse from Tennessee and I’ve been assigned here for at least the next 7 weeks. I don’t give these words out for nothing and I just have to say that this place right here has it together! I’ve been a nurse for 24 years and I’ve worked at ALOT of places but I’ve NEVER been somewhere as put together as here. The management is amazing and the staff is too. Our family would like to thank the staff at Carroll Lutheran Village for the excellent and compassionate care our sister, Marianne Leatherwood received during her 4 week stay in your health center. The rehabilitation team was wonderful, the nurses, aids and doctor were all very responsive to our questions, and took excellent care of Marianne. We would highly recommend the health center for anyone in need of rehabilitation before heading home.
Would NEVER recommend this facility. My grandmother has poor care. She is 100 year old. Staff delivers poor personal hygiene as stated by a doctor! Staff has lost her hearing aids, and had someone else's in her ears! They have lost her glasses, and had someone else's on her face! Numerous meetings with head management and problems are never resolved. Please find another facility for your family member!
Today, I watched staff and administrators make sure that all residents, regardless of mobility, had a chance to fully participate in a community-wide tree planting. It was beautiful and a sign of deep mutual caring...plus they have two awesome chaplains, Pastor Jimmie Schwartz and Deacon Don Myers!
