Absolute slum lord of a mortgage lender. Their outdated website and system seems like it’s intended to keep lenders down and make it as difficult as possible to make extra payments. They have the absolute best customer service reps though!

Just received a call from Carrington asking to schedule a payment. NEVER been late, NOT going to be LATE and they are calling now. Always paid between 28th and 3rd of the month. I have paid on time every time for 5 years and just like the last 5 years on time payment will be maid. For some odd reason they decide to start calling customer at the first of the month to schedule payments. My mortgage was sold to this company and it’s been headaches ever since. The whole certified funds process is a complete waste of time and energy. I was in the middle of a six figure renovation on the property with this mortgage company and had five figures pending in and out through my checking to pay the mortgage. If they could remove the certified funds process I would be completely happy but having to send money via check is ancient. Had an emergency vet bill that caused a late payment, acknowledging this month it cascaded into 4 consecutive payments being behind because it was being applied to the previous months. With receipts and a goodwill letter they gave the same reply as the others have stated. Just another mindless corporation that sees numbers over people.
