We were there today flower picking. The sunflowers are mostly dead. Some others like marigolds were fine.
My husband and I decided to go swimming at the quarry for my birthday, and the first thing I noticed was an overwhelming smell of marijuana. The second thing I noticed was the unpleasant attitudes of the staff and the unwillingness to do their job. Really good chill spots very well run by owners and must go .
I understand businesses need to make money, and I don’t expect to swim for free. But charging $30 per person is ridiculous. It honestly feels like you’re pricing out families who don’t have a lot of extra money. If that’s the goal, it’s working. I wanted to take my kids somewhere they could enjoy nature instead of just going to a pool, but when we got there and found out the price—and that it was cash only—we had to turn around and leave.
