We had a loved one at Carrier for about 10 weeks. It was terrible! They over-medicated her to the point where she was practically catatonic, refused to let us talk to her other than three one minute Zoom calls, AND told her we abandoned her!!!! This resulted in her refusing to eat or take any meds and getting very sick. Even though we have health care power of attorney they would not tell us her diagnosis, prognosis or anything - and because she refused meds/food she kept getting recommitted. My niece was there in 1989 and I understand many times later. My psychologist called Carrier, my psychologist is world famous, called to let Carrier know my niece was living with a pedophile, my mother had just moved in with my sister and niece. My niece attempted suicide and nearly succeeded ~~ this her admission to Carrier Years later, 2015, my niece is DEAD at 39, shame on Carrier for sending my 13 year old niece with a known pedophile !!!! In February 1994 I was there. I was just two weeks or more clean from cocaine. I still wanted to do it. I needed help, did not know how to ask. Several girls at Rider University loved me, I did not know it I was oblivious to it. Spent over 2 weeks there. The morning and afternoon staff were AMAZING...the overnight staff was disgusting. I don’t remember a lot, but the friends I made there, I still keep in touch with, have reminded me of much. Julian, Liv and Sarah were AMAZING and I wish I could get in contact with them and thank them personally and formally I was there for psych reasons related to 4 diagnosed mental illnesses as well as alcohol recovery.
Totally Aweosme, Best Place on the Planet..Loved every minuet, but gained 4 lbs..LOL..they feed ya good....😆😂 they need an Indoor pool...Hint Hint..
