I've recommended Dr. Champine multiple times to my family and friends. The Radford office is convenient and easy to get an appointment with.
Excellent prenatal care and delivery. Takes time with each patient, never feels rushed. Explained treatments and plans, answered questions, and made me feel like I was in good hands.
I went to see her for heavy menstrual bleeding. She never mentioned the possibility of fibroids, nor did she order an ultrasound. She just gave me two choices: Mirena IUD or ablation. Fast forward through 4 MONTHS of daily bleeding and many phones calls where I spoke only with her nurse. I went to have IUD removed and the nurse practitioner couldn't find it. She ordered ultrasound and found a 6 cm fibroid taking up almost my entire uterus and it drew the IUD and strings up inside.
She is very professional, knowledgeable, great listener, and offers options to care that allows the patient to make choices, she offers patient-centered care. Her personality is friendly, calming, and puts the patient at ease during discussions and examinations. The front desk staff/appointment scheduler however needs some education and remediation on how to be professional, nice, and manners.
we had tried for 10 years to have a baby. We had heard the heartbeat and were elated. Christmas Eve 2015 we were told there was no heartbeat. I said what now and the good doc. Said just wait and never contacted us again. We are now two weeks out. No signs of miscarriage and the doctor is nowhere to be found. The single worst patient care I've ever experienced. Dropped at one of the lowest times in our lives.
