User review by woopdeedoo – Enjoyed our dishes at Carrabba's. Pork chops were done exactly as ordered. Ambience was ok but there were children in the booth behind us and they were very noisy. So, NOT a romantic restaurant to visit if children are present.
Great Spot, Convenient Too – Carrabba's is one of our "standard" spots to go. Easy to grab dinner before a movie, and very convenient sidewalk service too (call ahead and they walk it out to your car). Consistently good food, nice atmosphere, pleasant service. Nothing "out of this world" ... and I question those who say it's a romantic spot, but it is a good solid eating spot and one that deserves to be on your "regular" list. Ask for dough for the kids to shape into stuff & they'll bake it for them in the pizza oven.
Don't miss it !! – A wonderful treat. The best alfredo I have ever eaten. The precusor to your meal is the bread, seasonings and olive oil. Magnificent. It's a must eat there, type of place.
Better with time... – Having eaten her for almost 4 years, CARRABBA'S seems to get better each time!! Fresh, flavorful food. Good-looking, attentive and knowledgable staff. Everyone seems to be having fun!!! When it's good food and a good time, this is the BEST in Italian in Nashville... We'll continue to come back, again and again.
Italian - Straight out of the Microwave – I think the titl says it all about this place. The food tasted like it was cooked back in Italy, brought over on a boat, and then microwaved. Service was OK. Atmosphere was not bad except it was very crowded. I couldn't evn hear the waiter.
Good service, fair food – Unexceptional food, better service. My Pork Chops Marsala were respectable but overdone (I ordered rare). My companion rated the Pasta Weesie with shrimp as very good. What's with the sourdough table bread? I don't find it a fitting companion to Italian fare. The waitstaff was very friendly without being annoyingly intrusive. The prices are average to slightly high for food of this quality. The portions are large-ish. Expect your belly to be better satisfied than your taste buds.
Marsalicious – If you are like me, and your favorite meal is steak and fettucinne, this is the place for you. Steak may not always be your first choice at an Italian restaurant, but it should be here. The Filet marsala is fabulous. Sure, the quality of filet is not what you would get at a 5 star steakhouse, but you wouldn't drizzle a 40 dollar filet with marsala sauce either. Best marsala sauce I've had away from home.
Not impressed – I guess I had higher expectations since this restaurant is by the same people who brought us the Outback (tha's what I've been told). The staff could usesome personality and the shef could use some cooking lessons. There are much better places to eat in town.
Yummy to my tummy – I would have to say that they have great italian food!!!
