It's a bad time to go. There doing major renovation. All the beach sites are closed and there squeezing people in to help accommodate them (thank you for that). But I would definitely wait till the work is done before going. When the work is done, I'm sure it will be good again.
I heard the campground is closing for a week, for maintenance, I hope all issues get addressed... Nothing but love for this place!!
This Is my families favorite place to camp! Clean bathrooms, great surf, fun park, walking and biking and great Resturant's and brewery all in walking distance!
Well Carp is a nice and pretty beach in a cute town. We enjoy "dry" camping there. There is also the seal rookery and a wonderful Tomol interpretive play area for smaller children adjoining the state beach. Unfortunately the ADA shower (for wheelchair users) was inadequate. The shower bench was broken (safety issue) along with other issues. There was no signage requesting mobile visitors to use the nonADA showers so my husband had to wait in the cold for a shower for 10-15 minutes.
